pls help!!! i have to leave london tomorrow and i need to set up gprs to connect my laptop to the internet.. i need to know how to find the CID and which is the cid string for O2 like *99***CID# or something else.. plssssssssss

dunno how it works on the P900, but if the menus exist: Connectivity>Datacomm>Data accounts> select the account you use for GPRS> then it should say something like this on the screen: Edit, Rename, CID=3 or some thing like that... hope it helps

no, the P900 does not show CID like the T and Z series however when you add data accounts on the P900 they are added to the top of the list in the "internet account" settings.

so, to get the CID you need you simply count from the bottom of the list, the bottom most account being equivalent to CID value 1, the next one above it in the list being CID 2 etc etc

@ksydiver, the dialling string *99# is the same as *99***1# (i.e. CID=1) and this means it will pick up the bottom most data account in your list. *99# will work with most branded phones to connect to wap as they tend to add their own data acounts in the phone when you buy them but *99# in a non orange phone will not neccessarily connect you to orange unless you happen to have created the settings for orange as your first data account
