I thought SE had rectified this problem but today I used my T630 outside (nice bright sunny day) I couldnt hardly see anything on the screen. In fact, I thought it was worser then T610.

I thought at one stage that maybe the lights were switched off my phone. I still think SE are one of the bests but I really do think that they make poor screens.

ditto, I have not experienced a problem with the T630 in sunlight whereas it was awful with the T610

Most screens are not great in direct sunlight imo, try watching Tv outside!
It is not the screen it's how you position it

The t630 screen is much better then t610, no problens with it outside. Its readable even at sun, dont think that other fones, pdas have better quality with the same technology. This message was posted from a T630

@boto 630 is much more "clean" at screen, believe me. This message was posted from a T630

The T630 has a much brighter and sharp screen unlike the T610 great improvement over the 610 and as far as seeing it in sunlight well as in the previous posts
try watching tv in sunlight if u can't watch that then no wonder u can't see the screen in sunlight and its not sonyericsson's fault its mother natures lol

I think its a little bit more improvement then T610 but I wouldnt say its that good. In fact, I had a 6600 before and I had no problems with it under sunlight.
