> Bad music quality on SE k700i
Bookmark topic
I just bought myself a SE k700i. But after transferring a few mp3 to it using bluetooth, I discovered something strange. When I listen to the music it sometimes sounds like the music "skips". Is it only my phone that got this problem, or is it regular, and I will just have to live with it? Otherwise the phone is great, and I recommend it to everyone.

Variable bit-rate MP3s can sometimes be problematic outside the 'Winamp' environment. Some MP3 encoders are also horrible.
I've had good quality 192kbps MP3s play real well on Winamp, but exhibit quantization noise in my car MP3 head unit... re-encoded with high quality MP3 editing software (Soundforge) ... even if you just 'save-as', can do wonders since the software removes unseen glitches, or non-standard encoding sequences.
More often than not... it's the MP3 file, not the player.

Aren't files at those fairly high bit rates a little large for the K700, with the lack of Duo support I mean?

@jplacson
I think you are right, because there is one song in particular that is bad, the others is mostly fine. Do you know any freeware I can use to fix this? I am also looking for software to convert a WMA file into mp3.

Don't boost your bass too much higher. It decreases the sound quality.
