may buy a data cable. can i use this to update my firmware???

how reliable is it doing it urself??

no you cannot do firmware updates with a data cable but with the right cable its very reliable (I've never had a problem)

loads of threads about this already though (one every week or two as I recall) so take a look and see whats been said before on this topic
