Having read all the adverse comments on the Orange changes to the k700, I have decided to go to o2.(even though I would prefer to be on the Orange network)
Can you tell me what branding o2 put on there phones.
Also what's the difference in getting it from CPW and an o2 shop?

The only branding on an O2 K700 is the startup & shutdown animations but u can change the startup one anyway. Also 1 icon (the top left) is the O2 icon instead of a

+paper & it goes to their site instead of to SE.
There is no physical branding on the phone & it is unlocked & comes in a proper SE box.

I got mine on 02 online. I havn't checked whether its unlocked yet though. Its nice when it comes in a SE box and not a branded one!! Mine just has the startup 02 thing which i can change and the operator name 02. thats it!

Shockingly bad!!!
The usual blue & red icons plus they've actually moved them around!
No 'more' button on the standby screen just yet another link to VF Live!
Red logo instead of the Quickshare hologram.
Oh yeah, and they've disabled MP3 ringtones!!!
DON'T BUY ONE FROM VODA!!

@MikLSP
Do you own an o2 branded K700i then?
I have heard rumours about the 'My Friends' feature missing on o2 K700's. Can you confirm whether or not your phone has this?

My Friends is not there but I guess that's because O2 doesn't support it so it'd be of little use.

because once they buy the phones from sony ericsson they can do what they like to them, and they must feel that by changing features and icon that it will bring them more revenue

ok fair point.. branding is one thing, but removing features from a handset is completely different.
