I know there are various threads on this subject. Believe me, I've tried them all.
However I can't seem to get the update service to work. At the final stage before proceeding it just sits there with the "checking installation of update service" screen.
I've tried IE, Opera, Firefox. Restarted PC, removed charger from dock, chosen automatic verification etc etc, I just can't get it to move on. It's doing my head in!!
Can anyone help? I have successfully used the service in the past.
I'm on CDA162003/5 R4A04

Upgraded Java machine on your PC? I noticed it failed to run on an older Java installation that I had on a machine.

I have experienced the same problem in the past days. I believe it WAS a server problem, nothing to do with your browser's settings or Java VM. Whatever it was, this morning I was able to upgrade my phone successfully. Try again and let us know.
