First of all, is there one available?

Secondly, if not, does anyone know the wiring for the handsfree that comes with it so I can forge an adapter.

I absolutely hate SonyEricssons headphones. The P800, P900 and K700i all have the same earbuds, and they're far too fat to fit in my ears, so I need to forge some sort of adapter so that I can use my wonderful Sony MDR-EX71S headphones instead.

Although it doesn't seem so easy as it's not a normal 2.5mm jack this time.

Any help would be appreciated.

I haven't seen any such wiring diagram but if you don't want the standard headset that comes with it why not take it apart and figure it out or even make use of the bit that plugs into the phone somehow as you will clearly need one of those anyway

well its an idea anyway

some manufacturers make a converter for some devices so you can use a 3.5mm plug XDA have this accesory maybe if we press the manufacturer's they may make a simmilar accseory for us. Although i use my P900 for media use and i have a 2.5 - 3.5 i know how much happier people with a K700 as a min phone would be.

Well I also use my P900 for media, but it doesn't do radio, and I want to use the radio on the K700i cos it's pretty nifty!

Also the bass on the K700 is miles ahead of that on the P900, and so I'd like to test it out, etc.

I just can't get on with those headphones, and I don't want to take them apart because if they get broken, then I have nothing at all!

However, i do have a spare plug for the bottom of SE phones, from an old data lead, and so would be quite happy to make one...I just need to know what goes where!

I think he means the K700 has a graphic equalizer that allows you to turn the bass and treble values up and down on the K700.

The P900 has no options for this.

yes but sound for sound a song played through the head phones on my p900 sounds louder and has higher bass than the K700 using the same file and same type of head phones.

Well from what I can tell on my headphones, the K700i has much better bass reproduction, and this is using the crappy headphones that i hate! I can only imagine how much better it'd be with my nice sony earbuds!

I use my sonys on the P900, and the bass is just lacking unfortunately.

But away from that and onto how I can make me an adapter!
