I have a few *.au type ringtones for my p800, And also have some waves / mp3 sounds that I want to convert into *.au tones,

Does anyone know of a software package (preff free) that will convert mp3 / wave files to au files.

not of the top of my head, but... try google.com with the words 'wav+mp3+au' and it should find you something

dBpower AMP

you can download it for free at this site
http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm

and then download a codec to convert anything into .au format from the same site.

Many thanks, but that codec only seems to open au files not save them, oh well, bach to the searching.
