> SP1 for BT necessary in XP?

Hello to everyone!
New to this forum but aint to Esato
I was looking at the forums and repeatedly found that one should install
Service pack 1 over Windows XP to get the Blutooth feature enabled.
Is'nt it just like installing the BT drivers and getting started?
I'm rather a little curious, it it absolutely necessary to do so? I did'nt feel like installing this SP1 when it was released, looking at the Winguides tech forums, that people were having unseen problems after installing the SP. Also being a typical end-user i'm not that much concerned about security issues. So please guide me through this.
Regards.

im no expect so could be wrong but i think you only need sp1 for native bluetooth support
i think you can not have it and just use a dongle and drivers that come with it
im sure someone more knowlegdable will give a better answer

Hey! Figured out my connection On Windows XP. But there seems to be a problem, Whenever i try to use the "Win Control" function, the progress bar seems to run for an endless loop, this problem is still there for Pc control software. Please can anyone figure out what seems to be going wrong? I have'nt installed the SP1 on Windows, and using the Widcomm BT software(came with the BT device). What seems to be going wrong?

I installed the SP1a but to no use, i read somewhere that you'd see a wireless device icon in the control panel, but it's not there, also i dont see any integrated feature in Windows Xp that it now supports Bluetooth. I've installed the Driver that came with the BT device, but have'nt installed the communication software, i wanted to see if XP can use the BT device on it's own or not. Besides i've installed the Mobile Phone Monitor (MPM) from Sony Ericsson but it does not show my phone, nor does it has any feature to search for it. Does Windows Xp really supports Bluetooth???

the endless loop is supposed to be there!
you should be able to move the mouse with the joypad, if I remeber correctly about Jeyo.
If you get jeyo started on your phone under bluetooth-->accessories-->jeyo remote youre set!
