For those of you that are experiencing the lag or freeze while going through the menus or typing an SMS, it appears to be related to the GPRS status. On mine just before the status switches from "present and available for use" to just "present" the phone will freeze. As soon as the status has changed the phone will operate properly until the next status change. This happens quite frequently on mine. I've moved my SIM to my T610 and GPRS is stable with T-Mobile so I know it's not them.
Would other members who are experiencing this problem with their K700's and it's related to GPRS status please post here?

I have the same situation. T-Mobile USA with a Hong Kong K700i, firmware R2A041. It seems to be a firmware problem in the phone since it lags on GPRS status changes even when roaming in Asia. SE USA won't touch it since the phone is not available yet in the states. Their suggestion was to send it to SE UK or SE Hong Kong for firmware, but they couldn't verify that a fix was available.
The same sim in my T616, 618, 628 works fine.
My temporary solution was to shut down GPRS in the phone (connectivity/data comm/preferred service/gsm only) That stopped the lag. Until there is a fix available, i just turn GPRS on when i need it and off when i don't.
