Is it possible to have an MP3 as a message alert - Can't to seem to find a way ?

Really big let down isn't it.
I bugs me how u can choose anything for ringtones, personal ringtones & even damn alarm tones but not message tones, which for some people is the tone they'll hear most often.

Yeah, it is kind of weird isn't it? I can only assume there must be some sort of technical reason why the feature wasn't implemented, although I can't think what that might be. Has anyone contacted SE to ask them?

There's no reason not to include it.
If it's there u can use it if u want or stick to a standard one if u want. The lack of it gives u no choice & this is the kind of restriction I would expect from a 'lesser' manufacturer & SE should be better....
so YES I do think it's a big let down.
