ok ive searched the forum and couldnt find an answer
i have my sync station connected to my pc all the time and when i want to install an app etc i just pop my p900 in
so the other week i put my p900 in the cradle as usual cos i wanted to install a camera app
then the error message came up saying no phone has been identified by the sony ericsson connection monitor
please connect and define a phone first
ok so i checked in the right hand corner of the task bar were the little arrow for the connection link is and clicked properties and the com port 4 usb is ticked, which is right, and the arrow sticks up to say its connected.
i cant transfer files, back up and restore or anything
ive looked in the forum but cant find a solution, its worked fine up untill now
ive even turned firewall off

this has been discussed hundred upon hundreds upon hundred of times no one has a solution some say reset the p900 some say reinstall data suite some say reset your pc some say make sure the connections on both devices are clean some say you need to reinstall the USB drivers and in a different USB port try and see what works for you it can be fustrating

it definately is ive tried loads of things it just suddenly wouldnt work, ive had it since march and had no probs untill now....aaaarrrrgggg

its ok i fixed it........
went into control panel and clicked on remove and 3 options came up
- modify
- repair
and something else, so i clicked repair and it worked few!!!!!
