i've done a search, and had no luck..

i've just bought one of these - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBay[....]pagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1

i plugged it in, used a set of headphones, and it sounds horrible! i plugged in a different set of headphones, and the same problem

it sounds like i am getting an echo, almost as though the music is being fed into the mic, and then re-sent to the headphones

have i bought a dodgy adaptor!? if so, how!? i thought they were all standard parts?
