Is there free software that i can use to monitor my gprs connection with my pc eg signal,speed. That can also compress the pics on pages so they load faster.(i am using winxp, irda and my phone)

I recommend you NettGain, you can choice the quality of pictures, so it can burst up your gprs connection.
