> P900 Keypad problem?

hi guys, i owned my P900 for few months now, but i got a slack problem with keypad though, happened just recently where almost all the buttons will misplace the output!!! got any idea? even sometimes the OK button didn't work at all as well as the C and arrow button, it applies to any other some times, i am confused! any help or suggestion? i tried to get it to SE service center but it says the computer down and the problem is down to firmware matters, it is weird and i live in indonesia

Have you tried removing and refitting the keypad?(instructions in the manual) Sounds like the data ribbon may not be quite sat in correctly.

hi mince, thanks for the replay, i have tried it twice but still didnt work well, guess just have to take it to SE center yeah? bit far and traffic jammed though! dang!!

I have a P900 that's in a bit of a sorry state that has the same problem! The keypad mostly doesn't work, and when it does, you press the 1 key and get a 3, 4 and get a 6, etc.
The phone is missing four of it's six screws though, which I suspect is the problem with my phone. With your phone, try sliding the rear battery cover off, and see if the screws at the bottom of the phone just below the battery are tight. The only problem is that you'll need a T7 screwdriver to tighten the screws. Try this and see if it makes a difference
