I have a terminator dongle arriving tomorrow so that I can unlock and unbrand my VodaFone t610. I have all of the software and have read all of the tutorials but I am worried about one thing.

- If I flash the phone will I lose all of my contacts from the phone? I have too many to back up to my SIM!

- I have my contacts backed up using FMA, but if I just click synchronise will it synchronise with my now empty phonebook on my phone and delete all of my contacts on the computer?

So basically I want a simple way of sending my contacts to my computer (I have IR and BT) and then sending them back again after I have flashed my phone. I have tried to search the forums but can only seem to find how to find thousands of threads relating to getting the contacts to the computer.

Thanks for any advise.

if you just unlock it you will keep all your contacts. but if you want to get rid of the vodafone crap you gonna loose everything.

Use IR or BT, go to phone book options on the the phone and click "send all". A single file will be sent to the PC. Then you can send that file back later.

Thanks for the advice but I have just flashed the phone with R3C002 and the original GDFS. I had backed up my contacts the way you suggested but the phone did not lose them anyway!

Yeah I flashed my brother's T-mobile branded T610 and it didn't loose his contacts or wap settings/data accounts.
