Try to not get the ball to close to your body because it will only make you to hit the ball slower. Play baseline tennis and you will hit very hard. Don't forget to upgrade in "character leve-up" after every won tournament and do not forget to save your changes there.
Your tennis player will get stronger, more accurate and faster.

It only saves after you win a tournament. Progress during the tournament is not saved (at least for me).
At the begining, you should have 7 points to upgrade your player, I used all of em on the power ;p, worked a treat hehe

Just won a tournament...finally, you need to win 5 matches in a row to achieve this

I've gathered that u need to time your hits well for good contact & obviously pressing left/right when u hit it aims the ball (I use 5 to hit) but what makes it lob the ball & more to the point how to avoid doin it. Most of the points I lose are from them smashing these back.
Also can u do a serve any better than just hittin it, I've never hit a single Ace.

Your gonna lob it if you haven't timed the hit right, so it is more likely to happen if they hit it back quite hard. You can't do much about the serve, I did get an ace once, I think you'll get more aces when you build up your characters power

I've completed the game twice and I still haven't worked out how to serve and ace and how to accurately lob. I also didn't know that pressing a dirrectional button when you hit the ball allowed you to aim. In fact, I think the only way to aim whether you hit the ball to the left or right is your positioning when you hit the ball, in other words whether you hit it on the forehand or backhand.

Well I think it seems to just hit the ball straight forwards if u don't direct it. Holding a direction as u hit aims the ball........
I think!
