> URGENT K700 first charge

Ok I have my K700 and am charging it. I turned it on (screen went off after a bit (im guessing a power saving mode).
I have read numerous threads contradicting each other about the first charge time.
Manual says 4 hours.
Some people say 8 hours
Others say first charge should be 12.
So which is it?

Another type of battery or they are living in the past when batteries needed the 12 or 16 hours charge, but the time and type of batteries has changed.

Well, my personal guess is that the dealer(s) want to make sure that the battery gets a good initial charge. From my own experience i know that the battery isn't fully charged the moment the indicator stops moving, and saying 8-16 hours is perhaps a good way to make the customer wait at least 4-6 hours before running out of patience and pull the plug
Seriously, I think its an issue mostly with older types of batteries but I charge my phones overnight anyway, mostly because its convenient .

I think 12 hours is logical like you said we sleep 8 hours a day. So everyday we charge 4 8 hours.

what a very strange way to decide how long to INITIALLY charge a phone, based on how long we sleep?
anyway there are endless initial charge threads including a couple for the K700 so I'm going to close this one before we just all repeat ourselves again
