Guys and Gals I put my 6230 MMC into a card reader (it normally works fine) and my car reader reads "error on card" Does this mean i have to format the card?

As i already have pleanty of photos on there.

I know this is getting technical but my card reader is actually a HP printer with built in card reader. So could it be that I put my photos in a folder on the MMC card so the printer cant find them instantly and therfore says error finding photos on the card?

Hi there,

Okay I just checked it out. No problems with reading the card on the 2210. I had a card with about 5 videos and 1 photo in the root folder (there was no subfolders on the card).

The All in One didn't see the videos, although you can access them through the PC, but it did recognise the photo and I could select it and print it no problems.

I don't think having subfolders on the card should matter, since most digital cameras save their images in a folder on the card rather than to the root. However I would not recommend having the images in a folder within a folder (2 levels deep) just in case.

Hope this helps!

If you try with a picture on the root folder of the card, and there is still problems, I would recommend to format the mmc card in the phone, and without copying anything to it, plug the card into the printer. It should be able to detect "0 photos on the card"

Let me know what happens
