> Speaker volume bug on P900
Bookmark topic
Hi !
After I upgraded to the latest firmaware I have noticed a possible bug in the software. (it may have been there before the upgrade also...)
When I get an incoming call (or I make an outgoing call) the volume in the speaker is fairly low even though the volume is adjusted to maximum. BUT if I open the flip just a split second (to enable the "office speaker phone" funtion"), and close it again (turning off the OSP-function) the volume gets much louder.
Anyone else experienced this?

Welcome to Esato.
I havent experience anything like that in my P900.
However what is weird is that when I make a call with flip close and then I turn the speaker on the ringing tone is very low but as soon as the recipient answers the phone then it is very loud.

How come when you create a new contact and select a ringtone, it plays it very quietly, but when they phone you it plays it at the "proper" level? Did this both on my p800 and my p900 and its a bit annoying

I believe the reason is that it is a "preview" of the ringtone so it wont be to loud and be heard to your surrounding. I find this very useful in my case since I am usually into the office all day and dont want my employees to know that am kinda playing with my mobile.
Remember when some people are playing with their mobiles until they found the perfect ringtone that fits them?. I used to go hysterical and say "ENOUGH!!".

Ah, the days of yesteryear. Morecambe and Wise on the telly, Abba on the radio, Nokia 3210 was cutting edge! Even David Hasselhoff had one!
