With reference to
this topic I have become interested in an issue that might concern a few more than member
nina.
The topic refereed to is in Norwegian so I'll fill you all in:
She bought a T630 and later changed network provider to one called Sense.
She wanted MMS on her phone and found that Sense are charging 5 Norwegian Kroner (equivalent to 50 UK pence) for each automatic configuration SMS sent to her phone. It says on Sesnes' site that a few messages will be sent to her in order to activate the MMS settings on her phone. So: half a £ per message and no indication of how many messages needs to be sent to her. I.e.: she was looking at Esato to find the manual settings but avail. (No,

don't have them.)
I am curious to know:
Does your network provider charge for setting for your phone in order to be able to use their services?
Norway:
TeleNor Mobil: NO
NetCom: NO
Sense: YES

O2 UK = NO
That is the most stupid thing ever. The company is shooting themselves in the foot, because people won't pay for the settings and therefore they will make no money from MMS.

That is exactly why I picked up on it.
I'll give it a few days and send the link to this topic to those network providers who charge for settings.
Thanks so far guys.
