For Pinoys, how much is a brand new P900 in tiangges? Will be getting one and am thinking of either selling it or keeping it depending on the going blackmarket rate. Hope you guys can help with the price ranges! Thanks!

around 40-45k. that's in cold cash. you charge it on your card then the price goes up by 6 or 7%.

@aquagirl - If you are just about to get your SE P900 from Smart's Fone Promo, I guess you just missed the train my dear

When I got my Nokia 7610 yesterday (also with the promo), they say that SE fone model's P9 and the K700i were already sold out since July 11th - Sunday local time, and that's in ALL Smart Business Centers lad

I guess you will just have to settle for Nokia fones or the PDAs . . .

Good luch though still in applying

No way will I settle for a Nokia phone! I heard about the naubusan na, we (me and another SE fan in the office) are going to try to use our influence with Smart to get on the waitlist. We're confirming the rumor - from what we hear, naubusan lang sa Smart center BUT for the corporate accounts, they'll be delivering the phones end of the month pa. Quiet ka na lang, don't shatter my hopes muna.

Am not from Smart ha, baka umabot ito sa kanila.

no, we have lots of contacts within Smart so we're not using our influence to get approved, but only just to check the facts of the promo.
decided to get the K700i - if I get the P900, I have to get another day phone (less mainit sa mata)

aquagirl, do the math. you're on the loosing end. P1,200 (Plan 1200 to get you a P900) x 36 months is P43,200. then you'll sell the phone for P35K? unless you *really* need a new subscription.

Yup I did the math, and yes I really did need a subscription so the monthly fee is irrelevant. The math is as follows:
Plan needed: Plan 800. Plan getting: Plan 1200. Difference: 400.
Php 400 X 36 months = Php 14,400.
Handset cost Php44,000 - Php 14,400 = Php 29,600.
Re sell cost Php 35,000 - Php 10,000 for phone = Php 25,000 to pay for 20 months subscription.
(I don't need an expensive phone, am prone to snatching)
Anyway, since you're from Diliman, I respect your opinion.
Moreover, the point is moot and academic, the model was EOL. Got a K700i instead.
There's another guy in the forum somewhere doing the same thing. But thanks for your input anyway.
