I bought a K700i from ebay. It was sent out by Speedpost in Hong Kong. At this end it was supposed to be delivered by Parcelforece. They "lost" it at their depot. A replacement was sent out. Unbelievably the same thing happened!
Now I have the IMEI numbers but as they weren't bought through an operator I can't get them blocked.
The idea that someone is using my phone really p***** me off.
Any idea who I can call?

have you talked to any of the network providers in UK? you shouldn't really need to buy a phone from them to have it blocked... just report it to the police and then call a network provider.

i called o2 and they said they couldn't help. They were very unhelpful.
They had real trouble understanding that you can buy a phone without a sim card!

I used to know a friend of a friend who worked for a delivery company (no names) that used steal about 2 new phones a week from work.
I never got a phone off him as I knew it wasn't on.
He's now has lost his job and has a criminal record.

thanks for help, but I tried immobilise website and phone line and all it does is refer you to your network to get the phone blocked! Someone out there (actually two people!) have my K700is and I want to stop them using them!!!!!

Go to the Police, they're able to contact the necessary people to block phones.
You need to provide proof of ownership of the phones (you cant just go to them and say ask them to block IMEI numbers
) so take your receipts. Then they'll get them blocked.
Or, you could buy or use a couple of old sim cards, contact the operator of the old sim cards and tell them they were stolen, supply them the mobile and IMEI numbers and get them blocked. Then ask the operator to send you a new sim, which they normally do free of charge.

I can't understand why O2 won't block the phones - not disputing what you've been told Bloomp, just wondering why. I called Orange about a stolen sim-free phone only about 3 months back - they were very helpful and blocked it immediately as far as I know. And yes, it was supposed to have been delivered by Parcel Force and never turned up.
