yeah i walked into the store today and was so stoked when they said they had the demo phone. got to play with it for like 5mins and yeah its really not big. though they only had the grey version which i dont fancy much. they said its probably released on friday, well they said to come back then. just a quick question though. can you use an optus sim in it cause i probably wont get it if you cant. i know if u get an unlocked phone you can but im wondering if u can since its probably locked to the 3 network?

Is that the same company as '3' in the UK? Maybe it'll be coming out here soon too.
I don't know why I'm bothered cos I actually have no intention to get one!

@d-_-b,
How much do you have to pay to get the phone on 3? Is it sim-locked to 3?
Cheers mate!

Simlock is almost non-existant here in Australia.
No networks do simlocking due to some technicality law passed a few years ago.
The only simlocked handsets are various prepaid phones, mainly motorola (ewww..) phones.

3 in Australia sponsor the National Cricket team whereas in the UK their profile is a lot lower. Considering H3G UK paid something like £4 Billion for the licence, this may proclude them from major PR campaigns like Down Under. Any idea how much 3 in Australia paid for their 3G licence? Sorry to go off topic.
As some will be able to tell, I am VERY VERY eagerly awaiting the release of the Z1010...
I hope they don't announce the Z1020 tomorrow, then I will have to re-think the strategy!!!

The swedish part of '3' did not pay anything for the licence here in Sweden (nether did any other swedish 3G-provider (Tele2/Comviq, Vodafone).
