Has anyone had problems with the Z600 randomly turning off when near new and not recharging when the charger is fitted and on?
I would just like to know if it is a problem across the range or whether it is just mine.

Howdy. Iīve a SE Z600 myself, and iīve never experiend any of these problems that you mentioned. However if the battery is totally empty, it may take some minutes before you see the icon which proves that itīs actually loading. It seems that your battery is totally empty, and if thatīs right, the telephone will turn itself off. Something could also be wrong with the carger. If i were you, and since the phone is brand new, i would take both the phone and the carger back to the shop where you bought it and explain the problems. Anyway...hope you find a solution to your problem

I can just add that my Z600 charger was, obviously by chance, the only one that broken out in my 'collection'.
It started to stop charging after a while and than it didn't work at all anymore!
Cheers.

Problem should be in charger connector or system connector an the phone! I've experienced this on my r320s's connector. Also switch off your phone and clean contacts with alcohol or try another charger.

I clean the contacts with compressed air, then it works.
