i guess this is what it would be called. well i have a t610 (good phone) and t mobile service (recently started) and i want to get a nokia 3660. i want to keep the service i have now from t mobile but just use the 3660 instead of the t610. do i have to contact anyone or do i just buy a unlocked 3660 and put my sim card in and charge it and go?

You just buy the unlocked phone and put your SIM in. If your SIM is not locked by the network provider it will work.

two ways really

try a friends sim from another operator and if it works you are not locked

also you can go into the service menu using

where are jostick movements in that direction and check the sim lock menu. if all padlocks are open and number 5 is shown then you are fully unlocked.
