Hi there
I just recently got a P900. Much to my dismay i saw that the p910 will be released soon. I don't care much for the Qwerty keyboard, but i do like the look of the new Symbian OS 8. What are the chances of upgrading the OS on my P900?

online update service, meaning, you'll have to stick to what you get through that update.

But what happens if someone "accidently" deleted a system file. How would that person go about gettings his phone running again.

Have you tried deleting any important system files. I have fileman, which allows you to see system files. I don't have the onions to try and delete a file, but i'm quite sure you can delete them

You can't delete anything yourself on A:\ and Z:\ where the system files are. So just because you see them, doesn't mean you can delete them. You have no write access to those two partitions.

I know you cannot upgrade the UIQ interface.

I'd be very surprise if you can upgrade to symbian 8.. UIQ lies on top of symbian x.. if you can't upgrade UIQ, you aren't upgrading Symbian.
