> Z600 - Should I?
Bookmark topic
Hey folks.
I've been looking at getting a new phone recently. I currently have a Nokia 3410 - Yet am wanting a new phone, however would like a Sony Ericsson one.
I've been really interested in the Z1010 - Yet believe it's a bit pricey for what comes with it; Some places let you pre-order it for more than the P900. I then decided against the Z1010 (Would love to get it, yet it hasn't been released on any networks yet - and direct from Sony Ericsson it's $650 yet I need to be a Core member which also costs; however you can pre-order it from places like Expansys for a lot) (The two phones I've really been looking into were the SE Z1010 and the Sharp GX30; yet Sharp is locked to Vodafone and Z1010 is too pricey and is still "To Be Released").
So, I looked at the other Sony Ericsson clamshell phones - There was only the Z200 and Z600; and the Z200 had the looks yet didn't have the features. I like the look of the Z600, yet prefer the one of the Z200 - However the Z600 doesn't cost a lot more yet has a lot more features meaning it's much more value for money.
So - Should I get the Z600? Is it a good phone? Would it be more worth my while getting a different phone?
I very much want a clamshell phone, and tri-band. The camera isn't that important, however the difference of the price between the Z200 and Z600 is soo little that it's more worth while to get the Z600. Also the Z200 has some pretty old software; while the Z600 has newer software meaning another good points for it. Also the Z600 has a larger screen than the Z200; and the Z600 has more colours.
The only thing I don't like about the Z600 is the keypad - I much prefer the keypad of the Z200. (Put together the Z200 keypad with the Z600 phone; and it's a perfect phone!)
So - Should I get the Z600?
Your thoughts much appreciated!

If you prefer the features of the Z600, I would deffo go for it. If you're in doubt about the keypad, go to a store and have a play with one first. Personally I find the keypad VERY comfortable to use, although the nav button was a bit of a change after the joystick on my previous phone.
I can deffo recommend the Z600 though, it's a great phone in all aspects

I'm using my Z600 when I'm travelling, and I have to tell you that I'm quite happy that my company sends me out almost every week!
I was really surprised... Very good quality on keys and opening, good screen and the Ericsson led still blinking on its side... But now I'm posting from my new T630, and the reason is simple: I'm in holiday!
Cheers.

My GF has a Z600 (curtesy of me). It a great phone with a great screen, lots of features, good RF capabilities and you can get themes and style covers to customize it. Go for it. You can buy it as low as US$299 here in the States unlocked and sim free.

Really love mine.
About the keyboard, one interesting thing if you are a heavy user: the keys are transparent with the letters and numbers printed on the back side. Which means you wont erase the markings by pressing them.
Keys are well separated so it is almost impossible to have double presses from adjacent keys.
Go for it.
