I had a look at a silver one, a few days ago. It seems to be 'just another clemshell phone'... And 599 it's too much, even for the red one.

I'd have to say that the red is much more aesthetically pleasing. The silver is very nice too, no doubts about it - however the red is much better I'd have to say.
If I were to get one (as I've now decided to rather go for a Z600), I'd have chosen the red rather than the silver.
