I recently reformatted my 128Mb MS Duo for the first time in a long while and when I checked the size I noticed that the maximum available space was listed as 123Mb. I repeated the process a couple of times to check it wasn't a fluke but it remained the same. Where is my missing 5Mb????

lol, you know microsoft has a different storage listing as others do (1000 vs 1024) so you get this things with the storage manager on windows, it doesn't matter what you buy it will always say it has a few mb less....
and like that the videos will also be smaller so you don't lose anything compared to 128mb on the box

There is nothing wrong with your 128MB Memory Stick Duo. The true usable memory is 123MB. If you read the manual you will see that is mentioned there.
