Hope somebody that works in Ericsson Philippines can answer this question.

From the information gathered at the recent Smart Blitz, they were not offering the SE P900 anymore as a free phone because it's End of Life (EOL) status already and will be discontinued being carried by Smart. Is this true? Does this mean that SE P900 will no longer be sold in the Phils or just in Smart and Globe centers?

Hope someone from Ericsson or Smart or Globe can help out here.

Hmmm . . . that's why Smart gave away so much SE P900 handsets during the recent promo, deleting their stocks So, if it holds true, it is very possible that Globe will also be emptying their stockroom with those units

@gowin - Is there a major difference between the SE P900 and the newly released (in a few months time) - SE P910 I've seen the image in one the threads here, well how about the specs and features Many thanks !

P910 aka Layla is expected to have the following new features:
- Qwerty thumb-board
- Memory Stick DUO Pro cards support (now up to 1GB)
- the new 262k color screen
- built-in QuickOffice

The changes are not considered to be vastly different from the P900 hence the P910 designation.

I think Globe has run out of SE P900 also.
And since we get new SE phones relatively earlier than the rest of the world, the P910 is just around the corner.

@gowin - memory stick duo of "1 GB"

Yup! looks like SE's release of the SE P910 is quite 'sooner' than when the SE P900 was introduced back then . . . Hmmm . . . These fones will really drain out our pockets/wallets in no time mates 'Better make that train heist (ala Money Train) just in order to buy me a new SE P910 and a Nokia 9500

For current P900 users, maybe not a big upgrade. But for the rest, this may be the best unit in town.

We talked with our Smart contacts regarding the blitz, they were not able to give away much P900, actually, according to them, 1st day palang naubusan na and all in all only around 10 units were given away.

But why discontinue the P900 when the P800 is still being sold pa nga?

haha is this a "how thick is your wallet!?!" fight? why can't we all just get along who cares if some guy has a beamer, some other guy over there drives an evo, a ferrari and has an escalade truck version with his ducati in the back?? lets all be friends grab an 1000 some peso bottle of Johnny walker black and have a party. Be content with what you got or never be content at all.

Back on topic, it would be a wise move for the phone companies not to stock p900 anymore, the p910 is almost the same with a few upgrades so if you have money for top of the line stuff you'd probably buy a p910 anyways (even though i like the chrome flip on the p900 better) plus, its not a big ticket item anyways there arent that many people in the philippines who have the cash to buy one
