Hi,
I am interested in using my p900 for skype(P2P VOIP
http://www.skype.com/).
I read this google news thread
http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=334278
It suggested that it was possible to use a mobile phone ( a nokia symbian) as a speaker and microphone with widcomm 1.4 bluetooth driver which I have. I used this guide
http://www.jonsguides.com/bt/en/driver.html to help me if anyone is stuck with the bluetooth bit.
Is it poss with a p900 ? If yes what p900 software would I need ?
TIA

So no one ever used a P900, connected it to their PC, use the PC speaker and its micrpphone to dial up a number?

Wow, how cool.

I've tried to use the P900 as a bluetooth sound profile device with my PC (logitech bluetooth), but the P900 seems to keep disconnecting, and I have yet to get the phone to make as much as a beep. I suspect the P900 doesn't support the Bluetooth Voice Gateway completely.
Why not just get a cheap mike for the PC?

The point being that the p900 is bluetooth has mic and speaker so you can wander around the house talking to your mates for free, or while you kill them at quake or talk to your girlfriend/boyfriend(to be politically correct) etc..
ALSO BECAUSE IT CAN BE DONE THATS WHY
or can it ????
Did I mention FREE (as in beer)

You wouldn't be able to wander very far - bluetooth's effective range is 10m unobstructed, you'd be lucky to get it working well through floors and walls (well enough for streamed audio).
Seems like an invented use for the P900 to me.

Well done for you helpful comments.
I am sure the P900 was originally intended for bluetooth on Skype.
Nevermind - shall we just forget I ever asked if we are gonna get moronic answers/thoughts.
