Well, with the Z1010 out, many complain that the phone isnt all the expected. I guess LG won that round in terms of size, stability and design.
Many naysayers complain the quality of the LG isnt up to scratch but I disagree, after playing with the z1010 for about half an hour I would have to say that the Z1010 does definitely feel cheap. It is way too light for its size.

Now, we all know LG and SE are duking it out for the market, they are pretty much tied in the GSM arena. The LG u8150 will easily win over the z1020 if SE doesnt correct their moves.
While I own an LG U8110 and I do like it a fair bit, I originally intended to get a Z1010 but the price was not justified (2x the price for bluetooth and memory stick slot? heck the internal memory is only 2mb usable and is a lot bigger).

The SE z1020 shall fix all the downfallings of the z1010. Things like size, internal memory, an addition of AGPS, louder loudspeaker (the z1010 one is a joke! How can I make a video call with it?) and even longer battery life.
While doing so they might want to give it a colour front LCD (pref. 65k) and a 262k internal LCD.
And for gods sake, the price; make it competitive and make it good value.

right.............is there ever gonna be a predecessor?

don't make assumptions with se. suddenly they came out with a 1.3 megapixel camera! everybody was talking about the t650 (now the k700) but noone new about the s700 and where it was coming from. always give you surprises and i wont be surprised if they scrap 3g or the z1010 name!

Scrap 3g....I really dont think so..... this is the way of the future many said WAP wouldnt catch on, but correct me if I am wrong quite a few people are getting the hang of it. Like everything in life things need time to grow...so be patient. The japs didnt start with top class 3g phones, it has only been until recently that that the battery issue (YES THEY DO HAVE MAJOR BATTERY DRAIN IN JAPAN AS WELL) and size has been resolved.

Hehe, mate, is English/Any Latin based language your first language?
Pre means before, I believe the word you want is Successor.

SE would never scrap 3G because as themarques said, it is the way of the future.
That is like saying ISPs will stop offering DSL and go back to dail up, aint going to happen. 3G essentially means data rates higher than 144kbps.
There are 2 types of 3G, one is WCDMA (Hutch. Networks use this, i.e Three also NTT DoCoMo FOMA, up to 2mbps. More popular 3G standard for worldwide distribution) and there is CDMA2000 (Generally shitty with only 144kbps maximum, will mainly be used in the US. KDDI AU in Japan uses it though)

Most western countries bar the US have atleast 1 3G network, usually WCDMA. I know in the UK there will be 3 3G networks operating by the end of the year. Now if SE dont start making more 3G phones by the end of 2006 they will be going out of business .

maybe he means that se would start developing a 4g phone/service?
anyway i think se should start making 3g devices....
i mean i really want fast internet but the phones just aren't that good..
