Hey folks.
Ok - Been having a lot of trouble getting Orange to auto-set my phone with settings for WAP, MMS, etc. etc., so decided to follow their step-by-step guide online. Very good guide, very easy to follow.
Now - Each time I try to send an MMS (Via GSM or GPRS), it says exactly the following thing: Communication error.
The exact same thing happens when I try to connect to WAP. When I try to via GPRS it just says "Communication error. Check your settings or try again.", and when I try via GSM it says "Communication error. Try again or contact your WAP service provider."
Is this a problem with the settings? With the network? Is it a problem even with my SIM card?
Reason I even think it may be a problem with my SIM card is every time I phone up and give my name and number, I'm transferred to the Pay-as-you-go client service, and before when I was able to go online with my mobile, on certain Orange Pro only services, it said I'm not able to access it with Pay-As-You-Go, yet I have Orange Pro and not Mobicart!
So, help please.
Is it on my side? My sim's side or their side?
Thanks all.

Do you have a data subscription on your line? It might not be activated.

On my main contract, it's called Orange Pro, all is included. Meaning from the contract I'm able to go on WAP, send MMS, send SMS, phone local, national and international, send SMS and MMS international too. I chose it because it's an all inclusive package, and wasn't too expensive either.
On top of that, I pay an extra €6 per month for either 5mb or 5 hours connection time (GSM is 5 hours, GPRS is 5mb).
I was on the phone with Orange all day long yesterday. It is activated, but they keep saying it's the settings - I've done it manually now, and on GSM it tells me to contact my provider. Yet on GPRS it tells me to check my settings. Basically - No idea what is happening.
When I got the phone, there were no settings. I tried to copy them as much I could from my friends Nokia. It worked, which was good. So I know it is activated. Then I decided to actually get the correct settings from Orange themselves, (also noting MMS doesn't work so needed settings for that), and now nothing works.
Any help is much appreciated.

Can you post your full and complete settings? That way somebody on orange who's got it all working could compare :-)

How about going to the se support site and using their ota settings for your network.

Crikey...
You'll never believe what the problem was with the MMS, nor will you believe how idiotic Orange was. My friend lent me his Nokia to compare the settings, and low and behold - The server for Orange in France is mms.orange.fr, and Orange told me it was simply orange.fr!
When I told them orange.fr didn't work, they simply said it was a problem with the network and hopefully will be fixed by Monday. Great I thought - Turns out they gave me the wrong server address.
In regards to WAP with GSM and GPRS, I finally got someone to send me the correct settings and now that works.
Can you believe how stupid they were? Saying it's the network, it's this, it's that, etc. - Having me believe various things, and it turns out it's the wrong server address.
