hi, i've just purchased a k700i which my dad got from overseas (hong kong)
however, it cannot be turned on with the battery that came with it..
now when i try to charge the new battery the REd led does lit..
but thats it.. after TRYING to charge it for few hours....
nothing changed , LED still on and i cannot turn the fone on at all.......
i have just tried the fone with another battery and the fone turns on fine...
now i am guessing that either the battery has problems, or that the fone can't charge the battery properly..
so does anyone has this problem?? i have yet to try to charge the fone with another battery (or vice verse)
so does anyone has this problem??????? was so excited with the fone that it can finally replace my t610.............. oh well..

Correct me if I'm wrong, but...

...the red LED light in the power botton should only turn on when the battery has very little power left that it should be charged right away.

...when the charger has been plugged, you should see on the middle of the screen a battery icon (this is only when the phone is turned off). A completely drained battery might not show the icon right away. The manual says that it might take as long as 30 minutes before the icon can be seen.

...try charging the other battery that you used for testing. If your charger can charge that battery, then we can safely assume that the battery that originally came with your phone is the cause of all your K700i problems.

Hope you resolve your problems. You have a great phone in your hands.

Chances of that happening is minimal. Actually I don't have problem with the phone, just the battery. This message was posted from a T68i
