I have got a Vodafone Live Sony Ericsson T610. Do you need a vodafone sim card to unlock the phone if I have the terminator dongle kit? See, I don't have a vodafone sim, ive got an o2 sim. Any help would be appreciated.

U dont need sim card for it. Just a dongle. But leave it to the experts if u have no practice to avoid a dead fone later.

....which is exactly what I've just done - rather than try to unlock a T610 myself, I've taken it to someone who knows a bit more about these things!
Mind you, if you're confident enought, give it a go!
I'd personally be too worried about killing the phone!

Thanks a lot for your replies. I have bought the dongle kit. It comes with instructions so fingers crossed and hope I dont mess up the phone, lol. So you don't need to have the phone on? Because when I switch the phone on with my o2 sim it says enter correct sim so I can't get on to the main desktop.

To remove the voda crap and unlock the fone are 2 different things, it will and must be done in 2 steps.
