I have a pay as you go account with T mobile in the US and bought a handset to go with it, however I am trying to use either my t610 or K700i phones with the SIM in the US but I am having no luck despite both phones being unlocked. I was told by a shop in New York that phones need to be T-mobile specific? Is there any way to play with the firmware or software settings on either phone to allow me to use my T-mobile US account whilst in the US?
Can anyone recommend a US Service Provider that I can buy a SIM for that will work in one of my UK unlocked phones whilst I am in the US?
