I was under the impression that the k700 was meant to be something special.the picture and video quality is not quite like the quality of the 6600,and the keys are awfully hard and difficult to press.mine will most likely be returned for a refund.not overly impressed at all This message was posted from a WAP device

interestingly, I have had a mate (and his family) around most of today and I was surprised to find he has had a Nokia 6600 for the last month. We have spent a couple of hours comparing still images and video and in general (with naked eye) agreed that the K700 comes out on top with still image quality and they are approximately equivalent in video quality.

The screen on the 6600 is nice and large compared to the K700 but when the images are moved to pc the truth can be seen

so, you might want to reconsider the K700 again and also consider are you really buying the phone soley based on imaging quality?

I do like the various themes though,and the ringtone quality is far superior compared to the nok6600.can mp3 full length tracks be downloaded off wap,or does it have to be done via web This message was posted from a WAP device

can be done via wap, if you can really be bothered to wait, not to bad using GPRS, but would take hours (litterially) using wap. Best to get of web then use BT to send.

I've downloaded a file of about 4MB on my P900 & it was not even near 1hr never mind several hours, if I remember correctly.
But that was from a web page not wap page.

For goodness sake, please get a real digital camera or a video cam for some quality picts. Please stop complaining about the K700 cam and video This message was posted from a T630

despite my comments earlier regarding picture and video comaprison I should say that despite the K700s great screen I was astounded at the quality of the 6600 screen

i downloaded 4-5mb using gprs and that took over 10mins, takes about 2-3mins to download 100k on wap, also on wap you would need to press yes every 90? seconds to stop the wap GSM disconnecting.

@loone,
people want to be able to get a half decent pictures in spare of the moment situations, they don't want to be carrying around a £300+ digital camera with them all day, on the off chance that they see something they want a pic of.

Hi, just got hold of a k700i at the weekend, was looking to upgrade to a Nokia 6230 but they are like gold dust at the minute. so opted for the k700i

I must admit so far I have been very impressed by the phone (considering I've had nokia's the past 5 years) but I just have one issue concering picture quality:

Picture and video quality seems good in well lit conditions but when I was out at a niteclub I took a few snaps and they are very snowy, nite vision+light+smallest picture size improved the quality somewhat but it still didnt compare to the quality of the mates 6230 images taken at the same time.

Has anyone else experienced this? or is it possibly an issue with my handset?

Phone has a 14day money back period so at the mo I'm undecided whether to change it for a 6230 (if they come back into stock!)

feedback appreciated!
