I've downloaded several screensavers from different sites...
Right now i'm using Taz from totonox (www.totonox.com) as i've notice it's quite slow at first then gets faster.... but not as fast as on the website...

What do you think is the best screensaver size?
How fast is your screensaver?

Hi!

I think this is the problem:

The Taz screensaver is very nice.
But it also contains many pictures.
The size isn't the problem, beacuse it is +/- 16 kB.

You can have nice screensavers, butt they have
to be max. 100 kB or less.

When you make screensavers, it is very important,
that you don't let the screensavers (the pictures) move
to fast. A computer has many Mhz, but a phone fewer.

Greetings,

TheCrow

p.s. Try some screensavers of: http://www.sonyericsson.nl.nu

Hey guys,

In my phone by the time the screen saver becomes active it turns to the clock again! Is this a fault or what? Is there a way to turn off the clock screensaver to see the others or is my phone faulty???

Thanks!

Hi Ally!

Nope, that is not a fault.
The clock appears after 10 sec. because otherwise
your phone would be empty very easy.

So don't panic, it is normal!

Greetings,

TheCrow

p.s. No, you can not set the clock off.

aside from the slower CPU on the phone, remember that our screens are passive matrix... refresh rates are very slow compared to CRTs or LCDs on laptops. Mine hits about 6fps... that's enough for me... considering it's on my phone, and not a PDA. I made a small matrix screen saver, and a film countdown (I make videos for a living so I like the countdown thing)

I made 5 different versions of each one just so that I could time it right before the phone switches to clock mode.
