I would like the option for a completely plain interface, with no fancy backgrounds. No animated icons. Basically set the UI to give maximum battery life.
And the 'More' button, not 'camera' on the first screen.

Just use a plain theme with no animations but you can't change the menu icons.
What do u mean 'camera' on the first screen?! Mine has 'more' over the right-hand softkey.
PS-
Welcome to Esato
but next time try a more relevant topic title. This one make it seem like there are new features or that you're just asking what's new over previous models

thanks.
One more question.
in the Settings menu there are 5 tabs but only four of those are selectable.
General, Sounds + Alerts, Display, Calls , BLANK. Is this the same on your phones?

As have Vodaphone but I'm sure they have made the button yet another route to Vodaphone Live.
Is yours a branded phone mate?

Sooo...
yet
again the moral of the story is
NEVER buy branded phones!
That's the ONLY way that will stop them doing it.

But for most people, isn't that the only way to get these great phones for less than what most people would pay for?
So I guess it's true, you do get what you pay for.
