A lot of the discussion regarding this phone has been about the camera capabilities. My minidisc just broke so I'd like to know a bit more about the MP3 capabilities? I know that the phone will play MP3 from it's own internal speaker, annoying for anyone else around, but what external facilities are available? Is there an socket so that external stereo headphones can be used?

I expect it will come with the same stereo headset as the K700 does.
I don't recall seeing a port for a headset like on P-Series so it must be like K700s which attached to the bottom of the phone

PS- Welcome to Esato

Thanks for that advice MikLSP.

I notice the headphones are very distinctive. I wonder if it will create the same situation as IPod users, with Sony Ericsson owners becoming obvious victims of muggers.

I've noticed a few people kinda stare at my P900 ones but probably just trying to see what the little logo is.
Hopefully we won't become targets but I guess it mostly depends on the area you are in.

I would say depends less on the area and more on how easy a target you make yourself. Make sure you're aware of ur surroundings and of people around you when handling expensive equipment on the street. Don't get a false sense of security while your in a 'non rough area' because the muggers are watching how you act as well as what you might be carrying and they don't just stick to certain 'areas'!!

Yes, absolutely but there is obviously still a greater risk in some places than others.
Also make yourself look hard & scary! The 'don't mess with me' approach!

Agreed. There may be greater risk in some areas or specific places eg train stations. Usually this raises your awareness, just dont become complacent in the areas u perceive to have less risk

Yeh! Generally the more shifty you make yourself look the better! Tho you might have trouble with other people thinking your a mugger! lol
