I know alot of you out there like to have new phones or at least try them out. If there was a place that rented out cell phones on a month to month basis or a yearly basis would you do it? No contract. Rent it for as long as you like or just end up buying it outright. I' m talking about all new models or any cell phone model that people would like to use. All you'd have to do is switch out your SIM cards. Would that be interesting? Or do you prefer just buying the cell phone?

considering how much money i spent on new phones i guess that's a good idea but then again isn't this something like having a phone on contract? i mean even worse considering that you don't have to pay anything while on contract, anyway i wouldn't do it i would rather collect them....

I would rent one for a week, just to see if I like it, then go buy a brand new one. But its true about the hygiene factor, all handsets would have to be thoroughly (did i spell that right? lol) cleaned everytime its returned...then again, do stores clean the phones they lend while repairing handsets? Anyhow, I'm pretty sure you can find a market for this kind of service.

If that will just cost me around US$ 20/week then why not But, practicality wise, I'll better get a contract and start paying my bills on a monthly basis direct, instead of paying the amount for the celfone rent . . .

Considering the fact that there are a lot of people that buy phones just to test them and sell them the next week, I think that would be a good idea and save them money. Personally I wouldn't rent a phone, but I am sure that a lot of gadget freek people would love this.
