Ok, my Orange Contract will run out in just under a month, and I want a P900 or maybe even a P910, depending on cost. I wondered what kind of deal I'll be able to get out of Orange.
Details:
Current Contract: £25/month contract on Orange.
Current Phone: T610
Only had an Orange contract for one year, and want to stay on the same tariff (maybe add some texts)...
Anyone got any ideas as to what kind of offers to expect?

I'm with Vodafone at the mo and like you my contract is going to run out next month.
When I firstly phoned them they were going to be able to give me a K700i for £75.
I told them that I could get it for free with a better contract with O2.
They are now willing to give me a free K700i with a matching contract to stay with them.
Just scare Orange a bit and see what they can do.
P.S. Still going for the O2 contract

I recently 'renewed' my contract with Orange as it was coming to an end. I asked for the retentions department and they matched a "3" deal of £25 for 500 anytime/network mins and 30 free texts for the first three months.
They gave me the K700 for £20. I got a completely different response from the retentions department than with the ordinary Orange reps.

They're doing a promotional tarrif of 120 x net mins + 30 texts for £15/month at the moment - if you ask retentions you can get on to this if you upgrade, OCS won't let you get on.
I'm on this tarrif.

Just confirming what the other guys said really - ring Orange, select the option that says "press button - whatever - if you are planning on leaving Orange" and speak to somebody there. Ask for a PAC number, they will ask you why you want to leave, you'll say you get a better deal elsewhere [make sure you know precisely who is offering the deal you want, O2 or whoever] and after a bit of discussion Orange will match it. They are actually very flexible about this. But it seems the ordinary Orange customer service reps don't have the authority to do deals whereas the people in this PAC department do. Which is fair enough - that's business! The PAC department, or whatever they call it, offered me a new customer deal of 200 x-network minues and 500 free texts plus a new phone - exactly what I wanted in order to stay with them.
I got a great deal out of them by doing this and am one very happy customer now. Orange mess up the UI on their branded phones, but I use a sim-free phone on Orange, like their coverage and always find the customer service reps very helpful.

Does anyone know what price Orange is offering the P910 for as a retainer for customers reaching the end of their contract? Are they offering it for free? Has anyone got one recently from Orange and got a good deal on one?

My average bill is about £100 a month... Orange offered me a P910 for £199!!! on upgrade... But i heard of someone here getting it for £99?

I got it for £99, after being offered it for £199. I had upgraded 9 months previously and I spend an average of about £60 per month. I just said "£199, that's far too expensive. I know I can get it much cheaper if I go elsewhere" and that was it.

I spend about 70 pounds month but I dont fancy paying 99 pounds to upgrade to a P910, when from Vodafone for 50 pounds a month I can get a P910 or 75 pounds, a V800 for 50 pounds or an S700 for free.
If they dont offer me a P910 for 50 pounds or less then I will be going to Voda, despite the disgusting branding..
Mmmm, I wonder what deals O2 has for me......
