has anyone else noticed that the k700 just doesnt vibrate at all whenever the keylock is on? take it off and it vibrates fine. This is when recieving texts, I havent tried it with calls.

a lot of bluddy use that is when the one time you most want it to vibrate is when the keylock is on because its most likely in your pocket at that time.

@ Ewok

Just tried it on my K700i and it vibrates when recieving sms and the keylock is on. Unbranded version.

Either you have a branded version that the operator messed with (the system) or you're just unlucky enough to have a faulty set.

well my firmware is R2A041 which seems to be the newest.

i just heard its possible to update the firmware yourself but for some stupid reason you have to have a syncstation, it wont work with the usb cable?

I agree - until I bought the K700i. If the phone is set to vibrate when I put it in the desktop charger, then the vibrator is not turned off! I've read about others here that have the same problem.

I want it to automatically turn the vibrator off, of course! Have I missed something here? There is an option in the profile menu to add a desktop stand to one of the profiles (not more than one that is), but it doesn't have any effect. As a matter of fact, after adding this to the profile, the next time checking it's not associated anymore... any clue on what this is for and how to have the vibrator turned off automatically?

well there you go! I usually charge my phone when I go to bed and take it off charge when I wake so didn't notice that on the K700 but I just tried it and you are right!

btw I use the CDS-11 and it was on the side of the table and the vibrate going through that nearly buzzed it right off the side of the table!

edit: btw I don't have that option regarding desktop stand in my profile menu so not sure what thats about

@ masseur

Settings => profiles => edit profiles => accessories => new accessory => desktop charger

(Meny items translated and could differ.)

I have absolutely no idea what this does! When I attach that item to a profile and leave the menu and then returns, the item don't show in extended view... but choosing the "new accessory" menu item, then I can see that it's still attached. Still I don't have a clue what desktop charger that it recognises - I have the same as in your picture (CDS-11), but that one it sure don't recognise. Somehow I feel that this option is supposed to switch the profile to the one that has the desktop charger attached to it when the phone is placed in a desktop charger. That way you could have that profiles settings adjusted so the vibrator is off and also adjust all other things that comes with that profile. I remember years ago when I had a Bang & Olufsen version of the GH-337 and bought the fancy Bang & Olufsen desktop charger for it. When I placed that phone in the charger it automatically switched profile to car settings. Meaning vibrator turned off, light fully on etc etc. But it was a stand alone profile that kicked in so I could adjust it as I wanted to. See, this is what I think is what the settings I'm talking about is for... problem is that it doesn't seem to recognise todays desktop chargers...

Oh, by the way masseur... did you notice that when attaching the K700i to the DSS-25 desk stand, the phone automatically change to the "portable handsfree" profile (or whatever name your profile has that has the "handsfree accessory" item attached to it).
