I came across a seller offering a MPF10 flash on Ebay...the only thing that caught my attention was that the ad states that this flash is compatible with models such as T300, T237, etc...Now, how can this be possible when these phones need the MCA-xx cameras?? Where are you gonna put that flash?? I think it's misleading...am I right or wong?

Strange auction indeed he just wants to show it is compatible with all phones though you can also read the following text:

Compatibility

T610 / T616 / Z600 and future models.

and of course you can plug it into all those phones and use it just as a torchlight, sos or strobe

just to confirm though...if the camera is plugged in to, let's say, a T300, there's no way the flash accessory can be used...right? It wouldn't make sense, and this being a seller from the U.S., someone could easily sue him for false advertising, he's got pictures of several models that this flash would be useless for...

useless and 'unable-to-serve-original-purpose' are two separate entities.. as masseur said, it will work but not in the intended way.. but like a flashlight...... to say that it is thus incompatible with those devices is incorrect. as long as you can plug it in and it does something, it is compatible..

no actually it works better in t300, t68i, t310 etc than in p*00, it even has its own menu phone flash, everything just like on t610,t630 etc, it's not misleading believe me i tried it on all of these phones....

I don't know if my question was understood correctly...here's the scenario :

1 T300
1 MCA-xx camera
1 Flash accessory

I put the camera on the t300 and now i want to use the flash...where do I plug the flash, if the camera is already connected to the bottom of the phone? I don't think the camera AND the flash can both be simulatneously connected to the phone...
