Hi everyone,
I keep getting repeated communication error when attempting to update firmware via SEUS 1.15. I have successfully updated previously and have read all previous threads about this, but nobody has posted a clear answer yet. I have an unbranded, unlocked handset with CDA 162003/8 and followed instructions exactly. Anybody who previously posted have success or satisfactory replies from SE?

was your phone unbranded using the unbrander.dll? the SE update service will know if it has been unbranded in this way and refuse further update. the only way to rectify this is to use the recovery service and go back to branded firmware.

Thanks for the reply, gbrooks3.
To my knowledge, I purchased my handset outright and never needed to "unbrand" it per se.
Besides, I'm pretty sure the branded firmware issue gives a different error message... something like "fatal error". Mine just keeps saying "error communicating with device, please remove and reinsert battery and retry" over and over again.

i asked the SE center and they say is the internet problem with the server !!!!
anyone got a working solution about it???

Yeah same here....i get the same error..some people told me its beacuse of the internet connection some said firewall etc...i tried everything and mailed SE...no reply yet...whether u put the phone on the cradle or not ..it will gove the same error...its pretty annoying!
