Hi guys,

I have a hardware problem with my p900 and I am told its a minimum 10 days to fix 'IF THEY HAVE THE PARTS'. I wasn't impressed with this as 10 days is a long time without a phone and they dont offer a temporary one whilst its fixed. Fortunately I have Orange cover who a sending a reconditioned replacement p900 tomorrow in exchange.

I have done a backup of the phone and MS card. What else do I need to do ? I have also sync'd details with my PC. When new recon phone arrives do I simply plug in the old memory stick and sync with PC or is there more to it than that ? Do I then have to set up internet and email settings or are they done by the resync ?

Has anyone got experience of a recon phone from Orange ? Are they OK or do they look used ? Mine was only 3.5 months old so should I have insisted on a new one ?

How do I delete all my personal data of the old phone ?

any help appreciated.

not sure about the orange replacement service but if you want everything off of your phone either reformat your internal disk or do a master reset.

to reformat jog dial up/star/jogdial down/jogdialdown/star/jogdialdown/star

and its under "service functions"
