Sorry if this been posted before but I have searched and found nothing.
MY question is if it's possible to unlock a k700 since my father is going to get one on and I am supposed to use it but I have a different carrier. If its possible where du I do it and how much does it cost?

Regards

hello dont think anyone has actually done this yet, i know that it cant be done over the air at the moment, but i have heard a rumour that it can be done with either a box that plugs in the bottom or a cable...

i know its not much help but it does mean you know the options to you!!

i think a firmware update will unlock it... take it to an se service centre and ask for a firmware update, its free aswell.

Does the firmware update work?

Do you think CPW would do it?

A firmware update will NOT unlock your phone. When you update your firmware, the shop will only put on it the networks firmware, therefore keeping it locked. Most networks it is forbidden (not illegal) to unlock your phone. Search the internet they will probably come up with many places. Or try your local doogy market This message was posted from a T610

Thanks for the advice. I have searched a few places on the web, they have all said that they cant unlock the phone.

Even if they did mannage to ulock it, how would i then update the firmware so that all the vodafone live stuff went?

I am looking for a place in London to do it.

this phone can now be unlocked.
Check the sales section.

No way to remove the vodafone branding at the moment.
