hi everybody! i m new 2 esato. i hv SE p900 and i hv hutch(delhi,India) connection with Rs 99 wap over gprs connection. i tried using pop3 on my softhome,hotpop,runbox accounts but everytime i try to email i get "time out" error. i hv tried all settings given by softhome... etc.
hutch people end up confusing me.
plz plz help me.

Actually you need to get a hutch web not wap account. That is called hutch access and they charge you 499pm. You can also surf web with it. This message was posted from a T610

if ur using vsnl mail.. u need to enter the vsnl pop3 mail server addresses.

it does dude... i used to check my pop3 mail from my old t 65 using wap.vsnl does offer pop3 on wap.
u call up the vsnl office, and ask them the pop3 incoming and outgoing server addresses...
not the names :mail.vsnl.net or smtp.vsnl.net
it something like 202.321.. the numbers.
check it out.
and the email profile needs to be like really perfect.
the only thing is that it needs a lot of time to download the mails. and no attachments...

no.. i tried from spice first.. and then airtel...
i don't think it matters what operator u are on.
it just matters that there is a gprs connection, u have an email client (on se t610.. in the messaging menu, then in email) and that you've entered the right pop3 server addresses (this is really imperative) and other misc settings.
try it out.. its a lil trial and error, but once it starts working.. its really cool

I think I have tried all settings except these no.s.& hv some idea about them so probably no other mistake.
Settings given on respective sites are otherewise byheart to me.plz help.
