Has anybody tried this lil program out on their p900?
It allows you to control your cd, tv, amp ect via your phone.
The one I have doesn’t work though.
Im from England and it is supposed to be set up to understand most European cd players.

Any body give me any hints on how to make it work?
Any body who has got it to work want to run by me what they did?

Thanks alot
Aidan.

I believe the program comes with a list of the most common brands, but that list is very limited, i had a lot of problems to control my tv (not to talk about the Home Theatre). What you have to do is download a file with the codes of the model that you wanna control. There's a specific format that Remote Control understands (I dont remember what it was called, but u'll find it in the help or any review). Do a search on Google and get the file. There's webpages dedicated only to serve those files, so i dont think you'll have much trouble.
Well, i really dont know much more about it, i hope this was helpful. Dont give up
hey... also, this may sound stupid but the px00 infrared is not very powerful, so you have to be like 1-2 meters away from you Cd player to control it

5-10 CM's? What's the point of having a remote? You can push the button from that distance!

It's a pity the Remote applications for UIQ don't have a learning mode. So you can point your remote at them and they learn the buttons.

Most well known brands like Sony work fine, but I haven't been able to get any other appliances to work from my P800.

How long before home TV's and DVD's are Bluetooth compatible though? That will be fun!

Where did you get the program from??? Sounds good to me but is it the case with all tv's, amps etc that the range is only 10cms??? Bit of a waste of time if that's true...
